Figuring Out
Mehak Sagar Makhija is a Toronto-based artist working primarily in acrylic on raw canvas. Her work exists in the space between rawness, florals, and portraiture — an intuitive exploration of texture, emotion, and the process of figuring things out as she goes. Through texture, form, and instinct, her work explores the beauty in what often goes unnoticed.
Why i Create
Because it quiets my mind more than anything else does. because raw canvas doesn't ask me to know what I'm doing before I start. Because some things are easier to understand with a brush in hand than with words.
